Alain smiled, more than a little awkwardly, scraping both hands back through his hair. "Thankee-sai," he said, clearing his throat, and fumbled at his belt for the little pouch that held his money. "I fear this is little more than curiosity to you here, but 'tis what I have. Had I more, I would give it. You've been more than generous."
