I approve of these names

If she had been able to see Bert she would have helped. If she had seen Roland shift his eyes skyward, she would have punched him. But it was as if the world had zeroed down to the moment, to the objective, and to the ruthless desire to wreck everything that stood in her way. It was a childish rage, it was the expulsion of her own feelings, which she had restrained the whole time.

The gunslingers had a right to cry, to be upset and angry with their world collapsing around them, Kaine didn't. She was angry anyway, and absolutely destroying a herd of currently useless animals was a great solution to her own emotions.

Destroy, she did. Kaine moved so quickly that normal eyes might think her movement was otherworldly, but a keener set could realize she simply moved incredibly fast, only half a degree slower than Roland himself. When she wasn't swinging in wide, dangerous arcs of her blade Kaine let the thing go entirely so that it could move independently of her. For as alarming as the skill might be it was an incredibly efficient way of keeping the dogs from Emily, because when one or three began to snarl at the girl again Excalibur was there to impale them violently.

"Almost!" They were almost there, and they didn't have to lose Emily on top of her sister - possibly both sisters. Something could go right.
