Roland frowned a little, but nodded, waving one hand briefly. "We'll be here," he confirmed, glancing at Bert's tensed back for a moment, then looking back to Nariko. His smile was taut, and didn't even slightly reach his eyes, but it was the best he could summon up just at the moment.
When she was gone, he turned back to Wei, quirking one eyebrow, and made that little twirling gesture with his hand: go on, go on.
